Confianza is Spanish for ‘trust’ and Stephen Cassidy chose it for the name of his planning, design and surveying company because his wife’s family in Colombia have a company they named with the English word ‘Trust’ and he thought he would reciprocate.

Stephen decided to branch out on his own after 22 years in the stone industry, training as a stone draughtsman with Rattee & Kett, gaining his ONC and HNC in Construction and going on to become a BSc with a degree in Building Surveying.
