One of the country’s major granite worktop manufacturers, F Jones in Cleveland, are tackling the recession by introduced a 10-year warranty on their worktops.

The company, founded in 1983 by chairman Fred Jones, have always invested heavily in technology and machinery and expanded into one of the best equipped, purpose built, state-of-the art premises in 2001.

They were one of the first stone companies to introduce CNC machinery into the UK for making the work surfaces they supply to the kitchen, bathroom and shop fitting sectors.

Fred Jones explains why they have now introduced the 10-year warranty. “We wanted to find a way to use our experience, commitment to quality and attention to detail to support customers.

“It’s essential our customers are able to benefit from the confidence we have in our products, enabling them to further create and develop their respective businesses as a result.

“Underpinning the manufacturing know-how and experience with a 10-year warranty on our granite work surfaces will do just that.”

He says this is the first of a number of initiatives he plans to introduce “to bring our business in line with other manufacturers of premium products within the kitchen and bathroom sector”.

The initiatives will be launched with with an extensive and high profile industry-wide strategic marketing campaign.

Fred says: “It underlines our commitment to providing products and services of a quality and standard that supports the growth of our customers’ businesses.”
