Tilemaster has launched a new fast-drying Tanking Kit and paste system, made by the company in Lancashire. It is a single coat application that is ready to tile after just three hours. 

The single-coat ‘ready to use’ waterproofing kit can be applied directly to unprimed surfaces, sealing and stabilizing the substrate before tiling.  It is ideal for bathrooms, showers, wet rooms and steam rooms in both commercial and domestic applications. It can also be used externally. 

The kit compromises 2.5kg of single coat tanking paste, 10 linear metres of reinforcing fleece tape, a pair of pre-formed Internal corner pieces and latex gloves (all also available individually).

Based on co-polymer technology, the paste creates a moisture barrier that can accommodate slight movement / vibration and prepares substrates for natural stone tiles, ceramic and porcelain. It can be applied to most surfaces, including plasterboard and plywood, and is also suitable for use with underflooring heating systems.
