Rapidly growing hard landscaping product supplier Talasey Group (previously Natural Paving) has appointed Chris Whitlock as its new Managing Director. The company founder, Mark Wall, who was the MD, now becomes the Chief Executive Officer.
The move follows the launch of Natural Paving USA Inc last year and the introduction of Talasey Group as the overarching corporate entity for the UK in January this year.
Since entering the US market, Natural Paving has quickly found traction and is already supplying its ethically-sourced natural stone hard landscaping products across the South Eastern belt of the USA. Mark Wall’s strategic focus now shifts to the growth and development of Natural Paving USA Inc, while Chris Whitlock takes charge of Talasey Group’s operations.
Mark Wall says: "The past year has been a particularly busy and exciting time for us with our expansion into the American market, as well as the overall company rebrand which we rolled out earlier this year. As part of our due diligence we are now taking important steps to ensure the continued success of our UK operations while I turn my attention to the US market. We have an ambitious target for turnover in the next five years and the appointment of Chris Whitlock as Managing Director is one of the measures we have put in place to support our strategy."
Chris was previously Managing Director at Harlow Bros Ltd and brings with him more than 30 years’ experience in the building materials industry, including 12 years with Saint-Gobain and 14 years with Travis Perkins. Chris is an experienced Managing Director with a commercial focus and a history of increasing profitability and compliance.
Chris says: "I am excited to be involved in guiding the next steps in Talasey Group’s journey and aim to continue to deliver the same quality product offering and exceptional customer service Talasey Group has become known for. I also look forward to promoting and building on core company initiatives, such as the launch of the Talasey Training Academy, which has been designed to support and deliver key benefits to the landscaping industry."
As part of the support efforts for a growing product portfolio, Talasey Group has doubled the size of its distribution centre in Doncaster. Furthermore, it has invested in additional cutting machinery, increasing its capacity for providing a bespoke supply service to designers, landscape architects, installers and home owners.
The distribution centre encompasses the purpose built Talasey Training Academy, enjoying dedicated and modern training facilities, classrooms and demonstration areas. The City & Guilds accredited courses cover the use of a wide range of landscaping products in domestic applications. Talasey Group also plans to roll out further training opportunities at different locations throughout the UK this year.
With control over quality, supply and product range, Talasey Group delivers a full end-to-end service as a leading provider of landscaping solutions. The company's product range includes natural stone paving, Vitripiazza Italian porcelain vitrified flagstones, Baksteen Dutch clay pavers, Luxigraze artificial grass and accessories, Pavetuf, stone installation cleaning and maintenance products and the new Resiscape resin-bound aggregates.
