Portland stone nearly had a marathon man

Michael Poultney, the Managing Director of Albion Stone, the company that quarries and mines Portland limestone, was to have run in Sunday's London Marathon to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust – his step sister’s son suffers from the condition. Unfortunately, Michael suffered pulled muscles in his chest, making breathing painful, and had to pull out of the event this year, although he hopes to take part next year and is asking anyone who has made a donation to transfer their generosity to 2013. Or you could give the money to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust anyway, as it is in a good cause.

Anyone wanting to make a donation can still do so at: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/MichaelPoultney.
