Solid surfaces company Hi-Macs has added three new colours (Cotton Field, Windy Hill and Highland) to the three existing colours (Santa Ana, Tambora and Gemini) in its Granite collection of the Volcanics range. All the colours have been certified by the Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) to confirm their stated 16% recycled content.
The recycled element is to satisfy a demand from the design world for environmentally friendly materials and products. Hi-Macs products have no VOC emissions and are formaldehyde and nanoparticle free.
Durable, colourfast and low maintenance, the stone-effect Granite designs can be used for domestic kitchens, bathrooms and wet rooms as well as retail and commercial interiors.
Hi-Macs describes the Volcanics palette as "akin to a precious natural stone, bringing a luxurious look to any scheme".
The new recycled colour collection can help specifiers, architects and builders obtain LEED accreditation for sustainable design and all recycled HIi-Macs colours have the Greenguard Gold Indoor Air Quality Certificate.
