Welsh Assembly orders Welsh Slate

A ceremonial blast took place at Welsh Slate’s Penrhyn Quarry on 12 February to mark an order for £1.8million worth of slate for the walls of the Welsh Assembly’s new £20million building at Llandudno Junction.
Pochin Construction are the main contractors for the project that will provide six months’ work for Welsh Slate, where redundancies were made last year in response to the recession.
