The Natural Stone Show 2014
Don’t get left behind as the UK demand for stone soars ahead
House-building is growing at its steepest rate since November 2003, according to the Markit UK Construction PMI report.
The PMI index also includes commercial building and civil engineering and registers an extremely healthy 62.4 (anything above 50 indicates growth).
The report shows construction activity has grown for 15 consecutive months, and in July hiring in construction grew at its fastest rate since the survey began in April 1997.
“July’s figures suggest the UK construction sector is enjoying its strongest cyclical upswing since the global financial crisis, while a new record rise in employment highlights that construction firms are increasingly confident about the sustainability of the upturn,” says Tim Moore, senior economist at Markit.
Set against this backdrop, the UK’s 11th Natural Stone Show next year offers exciting opportunities for exhibitors to pitch for new projects, present new products, find new distributors, network, raise their profiles and, most importantly, win new customers.
The Natural Stone Show is the showcase event for the UK stone industry. It takes place at ExCeL London 28-30 April next year.
If you are selling natural or engineered stone and stone products, machinery, tooling, sealants, adhesives, cleaning materials or any of the myriad products and services associated with the stone sector and want to reach the widest audience possible for your goods in the three days of the Natural Stone Show, you should be exhibiting.
