Natural Stone Show: Make it a date - 14-16 March

Visit the Natural Stone Show, ExCeL, 14-16 March, for all the latest developments in stone

With 300 exhibitors and more visitor features than ever before, the 7th Natural Stone Show returns to ExCeL in London on 14-16 March this year. The show not only has the support of the UK stone industry - it is backed by both Stone Federation Great Britain and the National Association of Memorial Masons - it also has the support of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and English Heritage. It is a must for anyone involved in the design, specification, working and maintenance of natural stone.

Exhibitors will be showing a vast range of stone from the UK and all over the world - granite, marble, limestone, sandstone, travertine and slate for use in cladding, hard landscaping, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces, memorials, roofing and sculpture. And not just stone. There are also the latest fixing systems, cleaning materials, stone working machinery and tools and related products and services being displayed.

The Natural Stone Show has grown along with the stone industry in the UK - and the latest figures from HM Revenue & Customs show the growth is continuing, with imports up 64% by volume and 37% by value between 2002 and 2004.

The higher increase in volume than value shows prices are continuing to fall and a major factor in that is more low price stone from China, India and Turkey - and companies from all three countries will be exhibiting at ExCeL - as well as more efficient processing. But while imports are still growing and there will be an ample showing of stone from around the world at the Natural Stone Show, there is also a good representation of the UK\'s own stones.
