Roger Chandler, who sold tools and machinery to the stone industry for 30 years, died this month after a cardiac arrest at his home in Oakham, Rutland. He was 76. He leaves a widow, Auriol, three children, including Richard Chandler who followed his father into the stone industry and is now a director of Combined Masonry Supplies, and five grandchildren. The funeral service was held at All Saints Church, Oakham, on 18 August.
