Pete Hill
Pete Hill, who had sold diamond tools to the stone industry for 30 years, died unexpectedly while playing five-a-side football shortly before Christmas. He was 50 years old.
For the past four years Peter had represented Diamant Boart in the South of England. Before that he had worked with Van Moppes, where he had been since leaving school and serving an apprenticeship as a saw doctor. Outside of work, he always enjoyed football.
Duncan McLean, sales manager at Diamant Boart, says: "Pete will be a very, very difficult man to replace. He will be greatly missed. His knowledge and experience are irreplaceable - even more so his personality. Pete didn\'t have customers, they were all his friends."
Peter leaves a widow, Jackie, and two daughters. The funeral took place at Huntley Parish Church near his home in Gloucester on 30 December.
