Pisani to sell Intermac CNC workcentres

UK stone and machinery suppliers Pisani are to sell Italian Intermac CNC workcentres to the stone market in the UK and Ireland. The deal was concluded during the Marmomacc stone exhibition in Verona, Italy, this month. The move follows the announcement in NSS last month (September) that wholesalers Harbro would in future be selling CMS Brembana CNC workcentres, also Italian, and AJ Lopez would sell Bimatechs, made by the original owners of Intermac who split with new owners Biesse in 2000.

Pisani were already selling the Helios CNC entry level workcentres that they showed at the Natural Stone Show in ExCeL, London, this year and say they will continue to do so. But some customers wanted more. Paul Gidley, who heads the Stone Processing Supplies (SPS) division of Pisani, told NSS: "From the middle of the year and particularly after our open days in September it became much more of an issue. There were particular customers who wanted certain equipment and Intermac machines fitted the bill."
