Professor Geoffrey Walton has left the extractive industry consultancy GWP that he set up 31 years ago to pursue more specialist consulting and commercial interests. He intends specialising in dimension stone quarries and quarry after-use.

In addition he has become the managing director of DustScan Ltd, a dust management and monitoring consultancy that deals with environmental dust issues at a number of quarries and dimension stone operations.
