Proteq have launched the PROline overhead line safety system in response to this summer\'s new working at height regulations. The regulations say people working 2m or more above the ground should have a safety system to protect them from falling, the most common cause of fatality at work.

The Proteq system is low maintenance and can cost as little as £1,606. It consists of a minimum of two safety lines running parallel beneath the roof to allow access for two or more operatives while ensuring there is always a second line available to reach them in case of an emergency.

For use where the span does not exceed 25m, the lines are installed either by fixing an anchorage to the centre line of a beam or by clamping a purpose designed bracket to the flange of a beam.
