SAILING BY. This Portland limestone artwork, called \'Sailing By\', was carved in Hamish Horsley\'s London studio and installed at Harbour Reach development in Poole, Dorset, on either side of a pedestrian and cycle path that forms a link from Poole\'s lifting bridge to the water\'s edge at Hamworthy. The silhouette of the sculpture reflects visual elements of the boats\' masts and sails in the harbour beyond the site and frames views in either direction. Its presence complements the contemporary architecture of the surrounding housing.
