QEST Scholars make their contribution to Buckingham Palace Festival

Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST), which has paid for the further development of so many masonry (and other craft) skills, has been invited to decorate the summer house at Buckingham Palace for the Coronation Festival on 11 to 14 July.

It will take place over the four days in the Gardens of Buckingham Palace as part of the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of The Queen’s Coronation.

The Coronation Festival is being hosted by the Royal Warrant Holders Association, which established QEST (named after Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother as she celebrated her 90th birthday) in 1990 to provide bursaries to craftspeople to enable them to continue their studies and increase their skills.

The Festival will bring together – for the first time on this scale – more than 200 holders of Royal Warrants of Appointment in a celebration of innovation, excellence and industry through trade and craft.
