Stonewest, the Croydon-based stone specialists, have moved on to the Rattee & Kett site at Digital Park in Longstanton, Cambridgeshire. They hope to be able to keep alive the name of Rattee & Kett following its closure after the takeover of its parent, Mowlem, by Carillion.

The factory is the subject of separate negotiations with a York stone quarrying company. It is hoped the deals will be completed by the end of this month (June).
