For the record

In the report Building Stone: Raising the profile in the previous issue of NSS we got the roles of the two new organisations that replace English Heritage round the wrong way.

The charity that looks after the estate and collections is English Heritage Trust. The organisation that champions the nation’s wider heritage, advises government and local authorities, provides grants for repairs, supports the charity and offers practical conservation advice and access to its archives and resources, is Historic England.·

Historic England would also like to point out that although there has been a pause in the progress of the Strategic Stone Study, the next phase of it, covering West and East Sussex, has begun and the plan is to complete the whole Study over the next five years.
