Register with English Heritage for online procurement
English Heritage wants stonemasons involved in conservation and heritage work to register with it in order to tender for its projects on its online procurement portal.
English Heritage is now a charity responsible for the historic properties owned by English Heritage before its split into two parts (the other part is now called Historic England).
A lot of the property owned by English Heritage includes stonework and it needs looking after. The government gave the organisation £80million to bring its properties up to scratch ahead of it becoming financially independent in 2023. It is using its online procurement portal to source suitable suppliers for work that needs carrying out.
To be eligible, you have to register on the portal, then follow the link to '2nd Stage Registration'. You have to complete a questionnaire giving details of the locations you cover and the services you provide.
Once registered you will receive email alerts about open tenders. This will allow you to review the list of upcoming tenders, express interest and download tender documentation.
