Ronnie Turnbull dies in his sleep
Ronnie Turnbull died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday 28 March.
Ronnie was a hugely influential bastion of the craft of stonemasonry. As senior lecturer at Telford College, Ronnie has instilled the virtues, knowledge and excellence in hundreds of stonemasons operating all over the world.
In 2004, Mike Moody, as President of Stone Federation Great Britain, honoured Ronnie with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Ronnie was proud to receive the accolade.
Jane Buxey, Chief Executive of the Stone Federation said: "I am so sorry to hear this news. I am only glad that it was peaceful. It is indeed a sad loss. Ronnie contributed so much to the industry that he was so proud of."
His funeral is expected to take place in Edinburgh on Wednesday 8 April.
