Seminars on slip resistance and Milan Design Week at the Natural Stone Show

The annual Salone Internazionale del Mobile exhibition, better known these days as Milan Design Week, is the subject of one of two, free seminars being presented by In Opera, which is exhibiting at the Natural Stone Show at ExCeL London from 30 April to 2 May. The second presentation will be about slip resistance, which is so important to consider when designing floors.

In Italian, 'opera' means 'work', not singing. In the UK, In Opera is based at the Building Centre in London's Store Street. The UK company works closely with In Opera in Italy.

Milan Design Week started off as an exhibition of furniture design but these days has spread out through the whole of the Italian city, which bustles with design events during the week. This year's event has just finished (it was 9-14 April).

At the Natural Stone Show, In Opera will present some of the designs that could be seen in Milan. The seminar about Milan Design Week during the Stone Shpw will be in South Gallery Meeting Room 3 above the exhibition hall (access is from the back of the hall) from 12.30 to 1.30pm on the third day of the exhibition (Thursday, 2 May). The presentation about slip resistance will start at the same place at 3pm.

To attend, simply register for the Show and make your way to the back of the hall at the appropriate times.

These presentations are in addition to the Natural Stone & Building Conservation Conference that is also being held in conjunction with the Stone Show. That is also free, with seating allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
