Neo Granite, one of the Midlands' leading granite, marble and engineered stone processors, is the first UK company to take delivery of a Bovone edge polishing and mitring machine, one of the brands supplied by SMC Stone Machinery.

The Bovone 11/45 Stonedge vertical edge polisher is a heavy-duty machine designed to process engineered stone, including Dekton, accurately at high speeds. It can produce a mitred polished edge in one pass on engineered stones as well as granite and marble. This is possible due to the design of a track that holds the work solidly while it passes through the machine. This makes processing Dekton a breeze.

This Italian, 11 wheel, four tonne machine can work with large pieces of stone and produce accurate, highly polished edges.

Seven of the grinding spindles are attached to a steel beam that quickly adjusts through variable angles up to 45deg. It will produce perfect mitres time after time.

The wheels can be set to produce a regular polished flat edge with front and rear bevels in a single pass at an operating speed of around a metre per minute on 20mm stock (depending on the type of material).

Despite the Bovone’s ability to handle large and heavy pieces of work easily, it also has a gentle side, with the minimum size it can accommodate just 65mm x 65mm.
