Smiths take on Adrian Gibson

Masonry specialists JW Smith of Wheldrake, Yorkshire, have appointed Adrian Gibson in the new role of commercial works manager.

At 43, he has worked in construction all his working life, starting in his father\'s building company, where he started in carpentry and was elevated to estimating and ordering.

The company ceased trading when several of the directors retired and Adrian joined a specialist secondary and security glazing company as technical negotiator.

His work was 90% in the commercial sector and over 20 years with the company rose to become UK commercial manager.

He has extensive experience in estimating, contract negotiation, site management, financial control and marketing.

Adrian says: "Keep providing high class work while remaining competitive. That will be the message I will be bringing to JW Smith.

"Our long establish position in the marketplace for providing quality must be preserved through giving continued good service, always understanding our clients\' needs and having a flexible approach in this modern day contractual environment".
