Something exotic from Chiltern Marble at Sleep 2012 today and tomorrow (21&22 November)
There will be no time to nap at Sleep 2012 in the Business Design Centre in Islington, London, today or tomorrow (21 & 22 November).
Chiltern Marble has a showroom in the Business Design Centre and is inviting visitors to the Sleep exhibition to pop in for a drink to see the company’s collection of marbles, including the new exotics for that extra touch of luxury.
Sleep 2012 is an exhibition to showcase bathrooms, creative lighting, bespoke furniture, accessories, fabrics and innovative technology for hotel projects.
And what could be better for a hotel project than marble. The Chiltern Marble Group offers the full package from the all-important advising and planning to sourcing the marble, shaping it on the company’s state-of-the-art machinery then fitting by the in-house teams and project managers. Whether it is book-matched wall features, vanity units, bath-surrounds, or a unique patterned floor, Chiltern Marble is there to help.
Of course, marble is porous, so to keep it in perfect condition it is often necessary to treat it and here, too, Chiltern Marble can help. It has the latest technology from Dry Treat – a deeply penetrating nanotechnology sealant that repels liquids without sealing the micropores in the stone. This provides complete protection against staining and other serious damage, such as salt efflorescence.
And there is no reason why you should not have the beauty of marble as a worktop in the kitchen now there is Vitremela.
Vitremela is a super-thin (approximately 50microns) hybrid, inorganic, vitrifying hyper-polymer coating that provides acid and stain protection without changing the look of the marble.
Not that it is just natural marble and the treatments for it that Chiltern Marble has on offer. One of its latest product lines is TecLain, a laminated porcelain made in Italy that opens a whole new world of possibilities to architects, designers and furniture-makers. It is just 3mm thick but is available in slabs of 3m x 1m to provide seamless surfaces.
The large size and light weight (from being so thin) makes TecLain ideal for wall linings, splashbacks, partitions, furniture, wardrobes, worktops or as a finish to any surface. It is resistant to shocks, scratches, water, oil and acid and will remain colour-fast in UV light.
TecLain is available in various colours and textures that do not fade, are easy to clean and are hygienic since they are not absorbent.
So drop in to the ‘Sleep Event’ at the Business Design Centre and see what the Chiltern Marble Group can do for you.
