Cosentino’s Silestone engineered quartz, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, has won ‘Display Support of the Year’ for the fourth successive year at the annual KBSA Supplier Awards.
And Cosentino’s new sintered surface, Dekton, has had its first outing in partnership with architect and designer Daniel Germani at 100% Design.
The Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association (KBSA) Award was presented at the organisation’s Networking Dinner at The Welcombe Hotel, Stratford on Avon, in September.
KBSA National Chair, David Dalglish, said: “These awards are genuinely deserved, as they are voted for by KBSA members and are therefore based on the actual performance of these brands. It is always a great pleasure to reward those brands that do support the independent specialist directly, and this year’s winners should be proud of their recognition.”
Christophe Gontier, Managing Director of Cosentino UK and Ireland, said: “We are thrilled to receive this supplier award for Silestone Quartz for the fourth year running. These awards reflect the consistent support we supply to our fabricators and their studios, which is extremely important to us.”
And then there was the introduction of the ‘Chaos Console’ at 100% Design (21-24 September), which moved to Olympia this year.
Chaos Console marks the beginning of a collaboration between Daniel Germani and the Cosentino Group to explore the potential of Dekton as a material for bespoke studio furniture.
The Chaos Console was inspired by the BKF chair of Grupo Austral. It contrasts the ‘Ananke’ Dekton with the brass tubular structure below. Taking full advantage of Dekton’s technical properties, Daniel Germani designed and built Chaos Console for both indoor and outdoor use.
