Fila’s Green Line surface care range received The Tile Association’s ‘Best Environmental Initiative’ Award in the Tile Awards presented last Friday (25 April) in London.

The range includes 17 high performance products, suitable for a range of natural surfaces and procedures. All products are solvent-free and have a particularly low concentration of VOC’s or are VOC-free.

Fila’s Green Line is part of Fila’s Green Action brand. Products span from pre-grouting protectors and surface cleaners to protection and stain removal solutions.

Recent introductions to the range include LEED-approved stain-proofing protector FILAMP90 Eco Plus, for both polished and unpolished natural stone. Its water-based formula cuts application time by up to 80% and it is also GEV-EMICODE EC1Plus certified, which means it is suitable for use on food contact areas.

Fila Green Line applications include The Library of Birmingham, where slate was protected and maintained with stain-proofing FILAW68 and FILA Cleaner.

The project received the ‘Best use of tile in a commercial contract’ Award at the Tile Awards. The slate flooring was installed and treated by W B Simpson & Sons (Midlands) Ltd.
