British company Stone Equipment International, which is the sole agent for Marmo Meccanica in the UK, increased its sales of the Italian company’s edge polishers by 30% last year.

Andy Bell, the proprietor of Stone Equipment International, will be celebrating the success on his stand (C60) at the Natural Stone Show at ExCeL London 28-30 April, with Rita Alessandroni, the area Sales Manager of Marmo Meccanica.

“The LCV 711 and LCH 711 are still firm favourites in the industry,” Andy tells NSS. “People love them because the Marmos are straight forward and the parts are readily available, so even when there is a problem the down time is minimal.

“These machines are so user friendly the customer could do their own servicing if they wanted to! Of course, the support that I get from Rita and the team in Italy is second to none, which makes my job easier.”

Andy started representing Marmo Meccanica in 2009 and it has proved a fruitful relationship for both. As Rita says: “No matter how good or reliable your product is, if you don’t have someone dynamic, pro-active and confident selling it, your success will not be straight forward. The very least I can do is come to London to meet our customers and give Andy the support he deserves for all his hard work.”
