Stone Federation publishes wet rooms, steam rooms and showers code of practice

July has seen Stone Federation add a third title to its Code of Practice suite of documents – this one covering wet rooms, steam rooms and shower enclosures.

The Natural Stone – Installation in Wet Rooms, Steam Rooms & Shower Enclosures Code of Practice joins the Kitchen Worktops and Flooring titles to make up the Federation’s most popular set of documents.

The new Code is based on the relevant parts of a number of British Standards relating to the design, supply and installation of natural stone. It incorporates the requirements of latest current good practice and sets out the principal factors involved when deciding to use natural stone in wet rooms, steam rooms and shower enclosures.

Topics covered include stone selection, design, installation, protection and maintenance. The aim is to help Federation members and their clients avoid common errors, aesthetic disappointment, or outright failure.

The Federation prides itself on providing its members and the architects, designers, developers and contractors working with them with leading publications that provide an invaluable resource.

To celebrate the launch of this new title, the Federation is offering members, architects, designers, specifiers and local authorities a special publication discount.

Until the end of September you will be able to buy the three Codes of Practice documents for the following discounted prices:

  • SFGB Members – £52.50 (usually £75)
  • Architects, Designers, Specifiers and Local Authorities – £94.50 (usually £135)
  • Alternatively, you can purchase just the new Wet Rooms Code of Practice for just £28 (usually £40).
