While Restorative Techniques have made quite a name for itself supplying the ThermaTech high pressure superheated water and VorTech gentle abrasive cleaning systems, the company also supplies a wide range of other cleaning products. One of them is Restorative Latex poultice. 

This peel-off cleaning film method has been successfully used at a number of internal projects recently, including Magdalen College Oxford, Bristol University Library and Buckfast Abbey. 

Using Restorative Techniques as a supplier means that products and equipment are appropriately supported by in-house professional technical knowledge of materials and substrates, particularly important on historic masonry. The company regularly provides professional consultancy to architects involved in historic conservation and restoration projects. 

Cleaning and coating removal is not confined to older structures, though, and a fast growing side of the business is in new construction. A regular problem is staining around the edges of stones (picture framing) as a result of mastics used for jointing. 

Restorative Techniques has successfully developed an activated clay-based poultice to draw out this dark staining. It is then easily removed using ThermaTech. The system has been successfully used on a number of central London buildings.

Restorative Techniques is continuing to expand and is now exporting its UK designed and built equipment. It is actively being approached by prospective agents / distributors overseas who it is currently considering working with.
