Stonehealth Director forms new company

Jamie Fairchild is leaving the Torque (previously Jos) and Doff supplier Stonehealth after more than 20 years to set up his own company, Restorative Techniques Ltd, with his wife Julia, who headed marketing at Stonehealth.

Jamie is well known within the stone cleaning sector. His in-depth technical knowledge of materials and substrates has frequently been called upon to help specify stone cleaning solutions.

Jamie was a student at the Camborne School of Mines during the early 1980s and has had a lifelong interest in geology and archaeology. In 1983 he started work in the technical department of Robert Hobbs, part of Wimpey Minerals, testing product compliance and providing support for the production of quarry materials.

He has a profound technical knowledge of production engineering principles, including electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic controls, and masonry surfaces that will be put to good use in Restorative Techniques.
