The Construction Supply Chain Payment Charter – What A Sick Joke!

"Having just posted this rant in one of the threads about the sick joke that is the Construction Supply Chain Charter, I decided to spread the rant to every group member!

"I have been keep[ing] my powder dry about this until now – and trust me, I am only just getting started on this!

"Let's not beat about the bush here, the government know full well what is going on in the industry but they aren't going to bite the hand that feeds them!

"Neither are the big Trade Associations and the SEC Group, whose biggest members are as bad as the Contractors.

"And the NSCC are a toothless tiger as far as I can see! Their CEO Suzannah Nichol's response to the charter: 'It is welcome to have a charter which sets out payment requirements so clearly and will ultimately achieve the 30-day terms that will enable Specialist Contractors to grow their businesses.'

"What a load of meaningless drivel and condescending BS!

"Hello Ms Nichol, did you know that 5,500 Specialist Contractors have gone bust in the last 3 years or so!
Perhaps the fact that they were getting screwed by ruthless Contractors that said one thing and did another had something to do with that. Or am I living in some parallel universe, and I have completely missed the point?

"Rant almost over – but you need to take action folks!

"If you really care about your success and this industry, you must act now, today, before it's too late!
