Stuart hits new heights
Stuart Colclough, UK Sales Manager of tool company Flex, based in Darlington, Yorkshire, reached new heights on Saturday 28 May when he stood on the summit of Ben Nevis in Scotland, the highest peak in the British Isles.
The treck to the summit started at 9am. "It was dry but cold," says Stuart. "As we got further up the weather deteriorated and we had heavy rain, winds and hail stones. At the top, it was heavy snow with a wind chill factor putting the temperature down to minus 18ºC. It was a hard climb due to the poor weather conditions. At times I felt like packing it in but I kept on going for the sake of my charity, Dementia UK."
Stuart raised more than £400 for the charity and thanks everyone who gave a donation. "I would especially like to thank Flex Power Tools for providing the jackets seen in the picture," he says.
