A new Tesco supermarket in Dumfries that was due to open this month (August) includes a show of Locharbriggs red sandstone from Stancliffe Stone Company.

Tesco have used £40,000 worth of the stone from the quarry on the outskirts of Dumfries that has been active since 1890, to create perimeter walls around roundabouts on the site.
