Thibaut introduce wire jigsaw
French machinery manufacturers Thibaut introduce to the UK a computer-controlled wire jigsaw for cutting intricate shapes in stone, especially granite for use in memorials and worktops.
The TSC400 is a compact machine requiring a workshop area 5.3m long by 3.95m wide. It is made in the typically robust Thibaut style with welded frame for rigidity.
It is particularly accurate thanks to the motors in the X and C axis being brushless and variable speed, with the wire tension regulated by pneumatics. Speed and rotation are regulated by 220mm Variator2 guiding wheels that keep the cable in constant tension on the stone.
Cuts up to diameters of between 550mm and 3m can be achieved on the TSC400\'s revolving table that turns through a full 360∞. Stone of up to 400mm thick can be cut.
The TSC400 makes an ideal complement to the T108 S or L for memorials or producing round and shaped table and work tops.
The TSC400 is available from Thibaut agents in the UK Bryan Waters Stone in Cornwall.
