Building materials provider Baumit is opening a new training academy in Doncaster to provide insights into all aspects of external wall insulation - of growing importance as even historic buildings are required to become more energy efficient.
The new academy, which will hold its first courses 17-18 March, is at the company’s new branch at Unit 4a Marrtree Business Park, Wheatley Hall Road, Doncaster, South Yorkshire DN2 4BQ.
The Doncaster academy follows the successful implementation of the first in 2018 at the Austrian company's UK headquarters in Kent. Click here to book courses at either location.
Both academies are purpose-built and open to anyone in the construction industry who wants theoretical and practical experience of external wall insulation (EWI) systems and practices.
The course includes application experience with Baumit products using spray render machines. Working with CES Hire and Euromair, Baumit has three machines available on request within the academies: MixPro 14 for the application of all Baumit renders; Mini Jet 80 for the application of Airless plaster; 8P for the application of topcoats, primers and paints.
Chris Kendall, Senior Field Engineer at Baumit, says: “Our installer courses provide a perfect opportunity for installers and members of the construction industry to gain a valuable working knowledge of External Wall Insulation and render application. The experts at our training academy are fully-equipped to ensure clients come away better-informed of the processes and systems involved in all things EWI.”
Before the courses start there will two open days at the Doncaster academy, on Wednesday 4 March and Thursday 5 March. They will include a practical demonstrations and a questions & answers session hosted by the technical team that will be running the courses.
