Trial of stonemason accused of double murder due to start on 15 September
The trial for murder of 67-year-old stonemason Leslie Ross, from Dromore, Co Down, Northern Ireland, is due to start on 15 September.
Ross was taken into custody in August 2013 (see the original report here), when he was questioned about three murders and indecent assaults. He was later charged with murdering two women and indecent assaults, two involving a child.
The murder charges relate to mother-of-four Michelle Bickerstaff, 47, who was killed in April 2012, and 50-year-old Margaret Weise, killed in August 2007.
Ross has denied the charges and applied for bail at Belfast Crown Court in June when he appeared before it again. The application was denied.
