Vibration exposure – Ghines says it can help

Following the report last month of the company fined £16,000 for exposing its employees to excessive vibration from the power tools they were using (read the story here), tool company Ghines wants to remind stone companies about its Dokoyoh Flexible Universal Grinding Disc, which reduces users' exposure to vibration.

And, says Ghines, the Dokoyoh grinding disc is flexible in two meanings of the word:

  1. the diamonds are embedded in a rubber body which absorbs the vibrations
  2. the diamonds work on many different materials.

The tool is engineered in a way that allows the diamonds to be exposed to the material constantly so it grinds aggressively continuously.

The special spiral form means the abrasive action overlaps the same processed surface more times while the rubber absorbs the vibrations, so the operator can not only work for longer without contravening vibration exposure levels but also without getting tired.

There are three different grits – coarse, medium, fine – for rapid stock removal and a fine finish.
