Who will win the Lovell carving prize? You decide

These are three of Lovell Stone Group's Bath College carving competition finalists on the company's stand at the Natural Stone Show in 2017. The competition returns to the Lovell stand at the exhibition this year (ExCeL London 30 April-2 May) when you can vote for this year's entry you like best.

You will be able to vote for your favourite carving by students from City of Bath College on the Lovell Stone Group's stand at the Natural Stone Show, taking place in London at ExCeL 30 April to 2 May.

Any of the college's first, second or third year students will be able to enter the competition - and it looks as if many of them intend to do so.

Lovell Directors will make an initial selection of three (or possibly more) of the works they like best. Those pieces will go to the Stone Show so that visitors to the Show can vote for the one they like best.

The students have all been given the same size blocks of fine Hartham Park Bath Stone to produce their carvings in. And the theme this year is: 'Inspired by Space', to mark the 50th anniversary of man landing on the moon.

This is the second time that Lovell has used the Natural Stone Show as a public judging platform for its competition. Its first competition was at the 2017 exhibition and you can click here to see who won that.
