The kitchen is at the heart of the home, says Simon Boocock, Managing Director, CRL Europe, parent of CRL Stone

Now more than ever before the kitchen is the heart of the home, with the trend towards open-plan living suiting our modern way of life and resulting in worksurfaces that are always on show.

A lot of emphasis is put on creating a luxury, minimal finish in a way that is practical yet comfortable, with the work surfaces playing a huge part in this. Materials such as Ceralsio ceramic and CRL Quartz that are offered by CRL Stone combine great aesthetics with a high functioning material in a wide array of styles to suit current design trends.

With 20 years of experience in the stone industry, CRL Stone offers more than 70 colours and finishes of ceramic and quartz surfaces. Ceralsio ceramic is a hard-wearing and versatile surface available in 34 colours and in three thicknesses – 12mm for a slim worktop, 10mm for floor tiling and 6mm for wall cladding.

CRL Quartz is an engineered quartz stone, available in 39 colours, with a polished finish and in thicknesses of 20mm and 30mm. Both surfaces are non-porous, stain, scratch, heat and shock resistant, making them simple to care for and ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.

Developed in response to current interior design trends with many designs maintaining the look of natural stone materials without the drawbacks, all CRL Quartz and Ceralsio ceramic slabs are available in a large format, reducing the number of joints for a seamless finish, even on areas such as kitchen islands and splashbacks.

CRL Stone’s product offering is supported by excellent customer service, along with a 10,000m2 Manchester warehouse from which all products are available from stock, enabling fast turnaround on all orders. The warehouse also includes a showroom area where customers can see full slabs of all the colours in the range.
