About the Tomcat boots
Rock Fall (UK) Ltd’s new Tomcat Total Protection Boots are the first to incorporate internal metatarsal protection to meet European S3 Safety Standards.
Rockfall have launched the range to help reduce the number and severity of metatarsal injuries, which are widespread and extremely painful and debilitating.
Designed for comfort and good looks as well as safety, the boots have taken more than two years to develop so that they surpass the EN ISO 20345:2004/A1 2007 European Safety Standards. A significant design feature is the patented, integral metatarsal protector. This is a lightweight, flexible inner plate that protects the fragile bones in the foot between the toes and the heel. The footwear also protects the user’s toes and sole with a metal toecap and steel mid-sole.
Using full grain leather and Rock Fall’s unique ‘Activ-step’ foot-bed for exceptional comfort, the boots feature rubber outsoles that can withstand temperatures of up to 300ºC and are fully waterproof.
Stephen Noon, Rock Fall’s managing director, comments: “For many years now we have protected part of a wearer’s foot. We at Rock Fall feel the industry should look to protect the whole foot and make the end-user as comfortable as possible while carrying out their day’s work.”
The message from Rock Fall is clear: give people the protection they deserve with the only comfortable, durable and stylish internal metatarsal safety boot available.
