Win a car, a motorbike, a boat, a year's free shopping and maybe £250,000

You could win a car, a motorbike or a boat and a year's free shopping at Asda, a holiday and a chance to win £250,000. These are some of prizes in this year's UK Worker of the Year competition. Deadline for entries is 19 September.

Now in its seventh year, the competition is organised by workwear clothing company Dickies in association with supermarket Asda and motor company Honda UK.

There is the choice of a Honda Jazz car, a Honda Crosstourer 1200cc motorbike or a Honda Marine Rib boat, a year’s free shopping at ASDA and a luxury holiday for the winner – plus the chance to win £250,000 in cash at the prize presentation event.

There are more prizes for the finalists who don't win and spot prizes along the way. As it is Dickies' competition, they are saying the criteria for judging should be the same as the criteria for their workwear: excellence, professionalism and longevity.

Gary Barak, the event promoter, says: "This competition is to demonstrate pride in the British workforce. It is open to everyone, regardless of whether you work on the shop floor or are a CEO."

Simply go to the competition’s website www.ukworkeroftheyear.com to find out what you have to do to enter. You can also find out more about the competition if you visit the Dickies UK Worker of the Year Facebook page www.facebook.com/ukworkeroftheyear or see @workeroftheyear on Twitter.

And a message from the organiser: With a wide range of PPE (personal protective equipment) for all trades, Dickies knows what matters to you most when working. The personal protective clothing and equipment you use should only be of the highest quality, which is what you are guaranteed in the extensive Dickies range.
