A world of stone at ExCeL

The sixth Natural Stone Show (ExCeL exhibition centre, London, 9-11 March 2004) has attracted so many exhibitors that the show space has had to be expanded for a second time, making it 30% bigger than the original floorplan.

"The Natural Stone Show 2004 is building up to being easily the biggest stone show ever held in the UK, with exhibitors from the UK and 20 other countries showing their products and services," says exhibition manager Richard Bradbury."The natural stone market in the UK has grown enormously over the past decade as architects, designers and clients have made stone the material of choice for cladding, paving, flooring, worktops and bathrooms, not to mention its continued importance in the conservation sector."It\'s not surprising, therefore, that the UK\'s six Natural Stone Shows, all held in London at the industry\'s preferred frequency of two-yearly intervals, have also grown each time and will do so again."

The Natural Stone Show 2004 and its associated conference are sponsored by The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), English Heritage and the UK stone industry\'s representative body, Stone Federation Great Britain, whose Stone Village is at the very heart of the Natural Stone Show 2004.

The weekly magazine for architects, the Architects\' Journal, and the UK stone industry\'s own Natural Stone Specialist magazine are guaranteeing maximum press coverage of the show to architects and the trade. Between them, the magazines\' previews and the Show Catalogue will have a total circulation of more than 50,000.

The conference being run in association with the exhibition is a major new event for the professionals who specify stone. Entitled the Natural Stone & Building Conservation Conference 2004, it will have two streams of presentations by more than 30 leading speakers. One stream will deal with new build, the other conservation.

The Natural Stone Show 2004 at ExCeL offers so much that it has proved the natural choice not just for the UK industry, but also for major international stone producers such as Antolini Luigi, Furrer, Edilgraniti, Beltrami, Essegra, Marmi Graniti Favorita and Gundelscheimer Marmowerk, among many others.

And ExCeL is only a five-minute taxi drive from London\'s City Airport, making a visit easy for an international clientele, as well as having excellent road and public transport facilities for UK visitors.
