The Marble Institute of America has joined forces with an Italian company that specialises in graphic design and making websites for the stone industry, studiomarmo, to create an App for tablets and smartphones that contains pictures and technical information of more than 1,000 stones from around the world.

The App includes a search function that you can filter by stone type, colour or country – you can even bookmatch the samples – and is available from the online Apple Store for a UK price of £10.49.
