The latest government figures show construction output up by 2.2% in November compared with November 2012, the sixth consecutive month of year-on-year increases. There was a 3.2% increase in new work and a 0.6% increase in repair & maintenance.

The longer term growth trend is confirmed when comparing the three months September to November with the same three months a year earlier. Over this period, all work increased by 5.1%, new work by 5.3% and repair & maintenance by 4.7%.
