Just as the new Fairhaven & Woods company had finished celebrating their inauguration, one of their five apprentices, Weston Charlesworth, was receiving an Award as the East of England Construction Industy Apprentice of the Year. Weston is a third year apprentice studying at Moulton College in Northamptonshire.

These were the fifth East of England Construction Training Awards. They were held at Hotel Radisson SAS Stansted on 10 October. Guest speaker at the event was Kate Adie OBE, one of Britain’s foremost journalists who spent much of her career in war-torn parts of the world, reporting from the conflicts in the Middle East, Africa and the Balkans during the 1990s.
