The stunning monochrome natural stone table and accessories picture above were designed for stone specialist Lapicida, with its impressive showrooms in Harrogate and London, by Bethan Gray (in the picture). They were part of the reason Bethan has been awarded the prestigious title of Best British Designer in the Elle Decoration Awards this year.

Bethan, a 1998 graduate of De Montfort University in Leicester, asked Lapicida to make some of her designs in marble. The marbles used were Nero Marquina and White Carrara, hand finished after being shaped using CNC contouring and water-jet cutting. On the back of this success, Bethan also collaborated with Lapicida to produce larger pieces including her Amalfi Cathedral-inspired zig-zag ‘Herringbone’ table and accessories pictured above.
