Tom has been given a £9,400 Queen Elizabeth Scholarship to enable him to complete his final year of a Graduate Diploma in Historical Stone Carving course at the City & Guilds of London Art School.

The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) is designed to advance education in crafts and trades in the UK. Scholarships, open to craftsmen and women of all ages, are awarded twice a year.

QEST has given away more than £1,285,000 so far to craftspeople aged between 17 and 50. You can find out how to apply for a Scholarship to further your knowledge of any aspect of your work on the QEST website.
