This year’s Natural Stone Awards have attracted more entries than at any time since before the economic crash of 2008. There has been a 52% increase in entries compared with last time (the Awards are presented every two years) and 71% of the projects involve Stone Federation Members, supporting the Federation's claim that choosing one of its Members gives clients the peace of mind of knowing they have chosen a skilled, professional company.
The Awards will be presented this year by broadcaster and former politician Michael Portillo at a new venue, the five-star Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, close to two of London’s most visited historical stone-built attractions – the Tower of London and Tower Bridge on 2 December.
Host once again is Jim Rosenthal with Alan Dedicoat of National Lottery and Strictly Come Dancing fame announcing the winners. The format is slightly different this year with the awards presentations taking place in the same room as the lunch and guests will take their places for lunch before the Awards are presented.
