Lapitec, the sintered stone product distributed exclusively in the UK by stone wholesaler the Marble & Granite Centre in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, is sponsoring a fundraising challenge this summer that will see Richard ‘Bonkers’ Brash cycle, run, kayak and swim his way around the coast of Britain.
The Marble & Granite Centre’s Managing Director, Stephen Pike, says: “Richard and I are friends and business colleagues and I’ve always been keen to support his fundraising attempts.
“He is a uniquely determined individual who is, of course, raising money for a fantastic cause. I have no doubt that he really is made of harder stuff and we’re looking forward to helping him celebrate at the end of his challenge.”
He is raising money for the children’s hospice, The Pepper Foundation. You can help at uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Brash.
‘Bonkers’ is aiming to be the first person ever to have completed a 2,740mile quadrathlon around the Coast of Britain. He will set off from Bournemouth Pier at 7.30am on 4 July.
A 40-year-old businessman, husband and dad of two from Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ‘Bonkers’ plans to complete his epic journey around the English, Scottish and Welsh mainland coast in 28 days and raise more than £20,000 in the process.
