Artist-lettercutter Martin Cook of Bolter End, Buckinghamshire, has won the Memorial Awareness Board’s ‘Best Memorial’ category at the 12th annual Cemetery of the Year Awards presented last month (September) at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, as part of the Institute of Cemetery & Crematorium Management’s annual conference. “An excellent example of craftsmanship,” said the judges of Martin’s entry, one of 26 in the category.
